Daniel Quach was born in Saigon, Vietnam but moved with his family to the United States during his childhood for a better life. He was raised mostly in the Los Angeles area, and after high school wasn't sure where exactly he should look for a career. He went to work as a poker dealer when Hollywood Park Casino opened in 1994 and took an immediate liking to the game " the challenge, the players, and the skill involved.
Taking everything he learned as a dealer, Daniel started work as a prop player when the casino needed to start up a new game or fill empty seats. This invaluable experience moved him to higher and higher levels of play, until he finally began entering tournaments in 2000. He was almost immediately finding himself at final tables, and in his first series of tournaments at the Winnin' o' the Green, he was third in the all-around points championship playoff.
With several years of tournament experience, Daniel then began playing satellites to qualify for bigger tournaments. He played and cashed in several World Series of Poker events, but it was on the stage of the World Poker Tour that he truly found big success. In February of 2006, he won the WPT's L.A. Poker Classic main event and was awarded more than $1.1 million for his efforts there. Suddenly, with a massive bankroll, he could concentrate fully on bigger tournaments, which was a wise move considering he won the $3000 no-limit hold'em tournament at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic later that year for over $325,000. Look for Daniel to be producing more of the same kinds of results as his career in poker stays on the rise.
