Danny Smith is a California boy who is trying to make a name for himself in the world of professional poker. He was born in Sacramento, but he now lives in Folsom. He went to college to study accounting, and he says he likes to play baseball and bet on sports.
Danny Smith says he grew up playing cards with his very competitive aunts and grandmother. However, he learned to play poker online. Smith has since branched out to live poker tournaments, and he has done quite well for himself.
In Season 4 of the World Poker Tour, Smith made the final table at the Bay 101 Shooting Star. His third place finish in that event earned him $340,000. The following season, Smith barely missed the final table at the Festa Al Lago at the Bellagio. At the 2007 LA Poker classic, Smith earned another seat at a WPT final table. Danny Smith is a young player who has already making his mark at major tournaments.
