David Singer has always been driven to pursue his goals, no matter how much was stacked against him. Born in Brooklyn, New York, education was paramount for David, and he studied his way all the way to a law degree. While in school, he earned money by working on fishing and commercial boats, and as a fisherman David set two world records. After passing the Bar exam, he went to work as a lawyer for a non-profit environmental organization, but eventually found himself discouraged by red tape.

 David became a professional poker player in 1996, making a living primarily in cash games playing stud. As poker surged in popularity, Singer made the successful transition to hold'em tournaments. David's best season on the World Poker Tour was Season IV, when he finished sixth at the Borgata Poker Open (September, 2005) and third at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (January, 2006). At the WSOP, David is the only player to reach the final table of the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event in back-to-back years, finishing sixth in 2006 and 2007. The brightest spot on David's poker resume is his million-dollar victory in the Caesars Palace Classic (October, 2007). Even with his success in poker, David remains a quiet, humble person who relishes time spent outdoors hiking, bird watching, and fishing.
