Greg Mueller is a picture of opposites. The part of him you can see above the poker felt is nothing but except business. He has a poker player's stare and a serious game with which few people would care to tangle. Below the poker table, he wears pajama pants.

"I wear them when I'm lounging. I mean, I have 20 pairs of them," Mueller said. "I'm very clean. I wear a different pair every day, but I love to wear PJs, especially when I'm playing poker. I like to be comfortable. Tight jeans are not my thing when I'm playing poker. So, PJs are the bottoms for me."

The opposites extend beyond his clothing choices. Before he ventured into the often-sedentary life of professional poker, Mueller was a professional hockey player in Germanay. During long hockey road trips that Mueller started playing poker on a regular basis. When it came time to retire from one of sport's roughest and most active games, Mueller jumped into the world of professional poker. He brought his competitive spirit with him. He thinks his experience in hockey serves him well.

"I mean, you love to compete, you want to win," he said. "It's brutal when you take a bad beat. You're on an emotional rollercoaster."

It's Mueller's emotions that earned him the nickname "FBT." That's short for "Full Blown Tilt." It's a nickname that he says doesn't necessarily fit with his poker persona.

He said, "On the poker table, I really rarely go on tilt, but in life a lot of times I go on tilt. Like if I'm waiting in a long line up, I get all antsy. If I'm in traffic jam, I'll be honking the horn."

Regardless, Mueller has found a way to stay off tilt at the poker table and it 's serving him well. While he's still not sure whether he'd like a WPT title or a Stanley Cup win, he knows what he does best and that is play poker
