Harley Hall knows poker isn't an easy game, but it certainly isn't going to beat him up like his last job. This former professional motocross racer turned pro at age 16 and rode the circuit until he was 24. In motocross, it's not the years that take their toll. It's the mileage. After breaking ribs, a wrist, and sustaining enough other injuries to fill a medical book, Hall realized it was time to hang up his helmet before he hurt himself permanently.

With some time on his hands, Hall turned to a more sedate form of cut-throat competition. Soon, he was off the dirt track and on the green felt. Turning to poker was easier than turning the hairpin turns on the track. While investing in coffee houses and making some money, Hall started making even more cash at the poker tables. Before long, he was calling himself a poker pro. Like everything else he'd done up to that point, he was a success.

While he had some five-figure cashes in his early career, Hall's break-out year came in 2002 when he made the final table and placed fifth at the World Series of Poker main event. That $200,000 win kicked off a career that has since seen him string together more than 20 big event cashes. His biggest World Poker Tour finish came at the L.A. Poker Classic in Season 3 of the WPT. Hall made it to the final table, finished in sixth place, and won more than $150,000.
