Henrik was born and raised in Denmark, and he now lives on the small island of Cypress with his wife and child. After spending many years as a math teacher, the world of gaming began to seep into his life in a number of ways. As a recreational backgammon player for a good part of his years, he also enjoyed the casual game of poker until the day that his love of games collided with a business opportunity. Though he only began playing internet poker in 2001, a career morphed out of it as he became an online poker manager working for a major internet gaming company.

Keeping his job is something that not only provides a stable income for Henrik's family, but it allows him to see the internet poker industry from the inside. And with that income, not to mention improvements to his poker game, he has started entering to various tournaments in his free time. He has expanded his range of games from his favorite " limit " to include no limit hold'em, and he has traveled to countries like the U.S. and Australia to play events.

The WPT events are a favorite of Henrik's, as he attended the PartyPoker Million events in 2004 and 2005, cashing both times. He took it to the next level when he played in the WPT's Grand Prix de Paris in 2006, finally making it to the final table
