Born in Vietnam, Hon Le had an American dream like many of his fellow countrymen. When he found a construction job in the States, he jumped at it. When he landed on American shores, he started to hear talk of a man people called Men the Master. Le sought out this Master and asked if he could be his student. Men Nguyen said, "yes." That set the stage for Hon Le to become yet another in a line of feared Vietnamese poker pros.

Le's first major score came at the L.A. Poker Classic in 2000. He won the Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo event and pocketed more than $20,000. A year later, he won a Hold'em/Omaha event at the California State Championship. For the next several years, it seemed like wherever he went, he was sitting at a final table. No matter what game it was, Le was playing well and winning money. He racked up wins everywhere.

Le's big World Poker Tour television debut came in Season 1 of the WPT. He finally had a chance to show his mentor, Men the Master, all he had become. He sat at the final table at the Legends of Poker with players like Mark Seif and Kathy Liebert. A few hours later, he had a second place finish and more than $120,000 in his pocket. Le is still tearing up the tournament circuit. He has more than a dozen first place finishes and nearly a million dollars in career winnings to his name.
