In 2003, if you'd mentioned the name Jim Worth to some people in the poker world, they might not have known who you were talking about. However, if you'd said "Krazy Kanuck," you probably would've gotten a look of recognition. That's because Worth, at the time, was one of the first online poker phenoms. Growing up, the one-time competitive downhill skier idolized the Crazy Canucks, a men's downhill ski team of his youth. When he made his first foray into the online poker world, the screen name "Crazy Canuck" was already taken. So, Worth called himself Krazy Kanuck and went to work on becoming one of the online poker world's biggest heroes.

His success in poker did not begin with a great deal of success in the gambling world. Before poker, Worth was a fan of pit games like craps and blackjack propositions he knew to be losing ones. He found poker by way of seven-card-stud in a casino near his hometown. Once the poker revolution turned Texas Hold'em into a worldwide phenomenon, Worth was set to become a major force in the poker world. Soon, he was winning tournament after tournament online and developing a fan base he'd never had in the world of skiing. However, while he had loads of success online, his World Poker Tour record left something to be desired. While he'd played nearly a dozen major tournaments, he'd not managed any real success.

That changed when the World Poker Tour went to Worth's native Canada for the first time. When the WPT hosted the North American Poker Championship in Ontario, Worth made his first WPT final table. Finally, Worth had a major WPT finish to his name. Since his success at Niagara Falls, Worth has made the final table of a WSOP Circuit event and the final two tables of the World Poker Tour Champion. He continues to play live and online. He is still known in both realms as Krazy Kanuck.
