John D'Agostino was born and raised in Seymour, Connecticut. He took an interest in card games early in life and began sharpening his skills in home games and online prior to his 21st birthday. At one point, he worked in a donut shop, which was short-lived and would be the only traditional job he would hold. When he became of legal age to enter a casino, he took his poker abilities to Foxwoods and slowly but steadily worked his way up to the high limit games.

With very little live tournament experience under his belt, John made a splash at the 2004 WPT PokerStars Caribbean Adventure by making it to the final table and finishing in a respectable fifth place. Later that year, he was invited to play at the WPT Young Guns of Poker where he also finished fifth, but this event gave the audience a chance to really see his energetic personality and zest for the game. The following year, he made another WPT final table at the Borgata Poker Open and took home the fourth place prize of over $349,000, then did it again at the Borgata Winter Open only months later where he finished second for over $500,000.

John has made a very smooth transition to the life of professional poker player at a rather young age, and though he has yet to claim a championship title, he consistently places in prestigious tournaments and makes quite the comfortable living in the cash game arena " live and online. With a great deal of motivation, he is aiming for a high-profile win soon, which will come as no surprise to anyone who has followed his career thus far.
