Joe Cassidy is another young poker pro making his mark on the WPT. Joe was in Pre-Law at George Washington University when he discovered his love for poker by spending the weekends playing cards in Atlantic City. At 24 years old, Joe quit school and moved to Los Angeles to begin playing poker full time.
He found success in the WPT Season Two Invitational, taking home 4th place. Joe was also invited to play in the WPT Young Guns of Poker and clinched 2nd place. Joe has found continued success in Season three. It's no wonder his friends call him "Sheriff Joe" because Cassidy will often call down an opponent regardless of his cards. At the end of the year, Daniel Negreanu labeled him one of the "best unknown" players in the game and even called him the best poker player under the age of 25 in the world.
