Josh Schlein represents the new guard of poker. In fact, he represents the brave new world of poker that most people in Las Vegas and other American card rooms haven't even seen yet. Schlein, known in the online world as "Sdouble," made his first WPT final table in Aruba before he was even old enough to play poker in American poker rooms. Still, he has already amassed a lifetime of experience (and no small amount of profit) playing online. "Pros definitely lose their advantage online," Schlein said. "They don't get their read. They are such good psychological players that, online, they just lose their edge." A one-time college student, Schlein dropped out of school to exploit his online edge. However, unlike some online pros, Schlein's skill has translated well to brick and mortar play. Despite his relative lack of experience in live tournaments, he's managed to cash in the few he's played and make a WPT final table. "I just try to get in the pot and psyche everybody out," Schlein said. "I just think what they're thinking and I think what I'm thinking and go from there." In fact, Schlein's card sense has led some people to think he might have some supernatural advantage.
