Matthew Cherackal is definitely a quick study in poker. He has only been playing for less than a year and already he has made an impression amongst his poker peers. This former Princeton University student had been majoring in molecular biology before the poker bug overtook his studies. Since graduating, he has shown the ability to handle himself against the poker veterans. He boarded the Oosterdam cruise ship for the weeklong PartyPoker IV event against the wishes of his parents, just to play in the tournament. He placed third in the Party Poker Million and pocketed a cool seven hundred thousand dollars.
