There are people in the poker world who are legends only because of their winnings. Mike Caro is famous for so much more. Over the course of the past three decades, Caro has established himself as one of poker's top theorists and authors. With more than a dozen books to his credit, Caro is recognized in just about any poker room he enters. In the late 1970s, Caro, known as the Mad Genius of Poker, served as one of the top contributors to Super:System. Since then, that book has become the poker player's bible. Established as a poker author, Caro went on to write many more books, serve as a gaming consultant, and work on poker analysis software and a poker playing computer program. He also opened the The Mike Caro University of Poker Psychology. Today, he is likely best known for his extensive research into poker tells. Caro has multiple tournament cashes across the many years in the game and has been seen on the World Poker Tour's Poker by the Book program. Caro's best year in tournament poker came as late as 2006 when he cashed four times in the World Series of Poker. The Mad Genius also cashed in the 2004 WPT Legends of Poker main event.
