Born in Pakistan and now living in Staten Island, New York, the man known as Ozzy was well known in the poker world long before he ever sat down in a live poker tournament. Sheikh was an online poker prodigy even before he should've been allowed to play. By the time he was 18 years old, he was a legend in the online poker world and many people twice his age and more envied his success. As soon as Sheikh was 18, he found his way to a live poker tournament. Because 18 is the legal age in the Bahamas, Sheikh went headed south to the WPT Caribbean Adventure at Atlantis on Paradise Island. Over the course of a few days, Sheikh showed why he was so well-known and liked in the poker world. He tore through the field and made it to the final six of the 2006 event. It was then that Sheikh earned a dubious distinction. He became the first person to ever bust out on the first hand of a WPT final table. Sheikh looked down at pocket aces and got it all-in against eventual champion Steve Paul-Ambrose. The suckout was brutal but didn't dampen Sheikh's spirit. Because he has not yet turned 21, he's not yet appeared at any other live poker tournament final tables. However, anyone who knows him says that it's only a matter of time before Sheikh becomes as big a legend in the live poker world as he is online.
