Originally from Normandy, Patrick has spent his entire life in France. Around the age of twelve, his family taught him to play. When Patrick was asked to babysit his uncle's children, instead of accepting payment for his services outright, he would play his uncle in a poker game for the money. Even though he lost most of the time, he loved the challenge. Poker was a recreational game for him during much of his life, and he went on to complete his education, marry and raise a family, and become a business entrepreneur in commercial real estate. Poker has become an enjoyable hobby for Patrick, and he became a skilled player through home games. With tournaments gaining popularity and piquing his interest, he sometimes made the drive from Rouen to Paris, which was roughly two hours, to try his hand in small or medium buy-in tournaments. He also spent some time on Internet gaming sites to gain more experience. Finally, when the Grand Prix de Paris came to town in 2006, he attempted some satellite tournaments and won his entry to the main event. Patrik made the final table of the WPT Grand Prix de Paris as the only French player in the final six. He had a fun experience with the majority of the crowd rooting for him, as well as his family members in the audience. Since that time, he continued to play in European tournaments, though still in his leisure time only, as he maintains his real estate job for the security of his wife and children. He has little desire to play poker professionally but hopes to keep doing well in future tournaments for the love of the game.
