Pete Muller is the son of immigrants who was born in Philadelphia. His mother is a doctor from Brazil, and his father is from Austria. Muller has found his own American Dream, as a trader on Wall Street, an investor, and a musician. He's a singer-songwriter who plays piano and has released two albums. He enjoys surfing, snowboarding, kayaking and mountain biking. Muller started playing poker in college. When he worked for a financial consulting firm in Berkeley, California, he began playing at local card clubs. He started playing 1-2, then 2-4. He says the biggest game in the clubs at that time was a 30-60 Hold 'em game. Muller says he now plays mostly online and cash games, and he rarely plays tournaments. Muller has had some tournament success, however. During Season Two of the World Poker Tour, Muller brought along a furry luck charm that served him well. His Golden Retriever Maylay, who often travels with him, sat next to him during parts of the tournament. Muller placed fourth in the World Poker Challenge and won more than $98,000. He's also cashed in the WPT's Ultimate Poker Classic. Muller made the final table of the $3,000 Limit Hold 'em event at the 1998 World Series of Poker. These days, you might find him playing poker, investing money, or making music.
