Rhynie Campbell had a dream to bring the World Poker Tour to the Turks and Caicos Islands and he did just that. Rhynie earned his nickname Kojak while he was serving in the Police Department from 1991 to 2001. He says that he got a bad haircut from the Police barber and in order to fix it he had to shave his head bald. While he was serving on the force he stumbled across a poker game. The guys that were playing invited him to join in and within six months he was hosting the game. He says that he finds poker relaxing and loves to play online as well as in live games.

While playing online in July 2005 Rhynie won a seat on Party Poker to an event at the Poker Den in East London. Within 48 hours he had flown from the Turks & Caicos to London, played with Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott and four others, winning over $90,000 then flew home. Even though Rhynie had planned on moving to Canada to work for the police, one of his friends set him up in a private security firm. Within 10 months he bought the firm and then soon after he invested in the Players' Club, host to the inaugural WPT Turks & Caicos Poker Classic.

As a player Rhynie tries to learn from others and loves to play against pros who give him feedback on his play. He tries to play four or five tournaments a year and has cashed in three WPT main events already with over a half a million in career winnings to his credit.
