Paul "Eskimo" Clark has had a long career as a professional poker player. He's from New Orleans, but he now calls Las Vegas home. Clark learned to play poker while working as a medic in the Vietnam War. After he got out of the military, he began playing poker in private games. These days, he's known in the poker world as "Eskimo," a nickname he got because looks like the man on the Alaska Airlines logo. Eskimo Clark has been a high-stakes cash-game player for more than 25 years. He says he's a solid poker player because he gives all of his opponents credit that they can make it down to the final table in a tournament. He says even bad players can have good hands. Clark says he tries to trap his opponents, often by limping into a lot of hands. That strategy has served him well for more than two decades in professional poker. Clark has 20 World Series of Poker cashes and three WSOP bracelets. In 1992, he earned his first WSOP bracelet in a Seven-Card Stud event. Over the years, he has also won bracelets in Seven-Card Razz and Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo. He started playing on the World Poker Tour during the second season. That year, he placed second in the World Poker Challenge at the Reno Hilton. He's finished in the money at three other WPT events. Clark has earned more than $2.5 million during his poker career.
