Robert Mizrachi is part of a world famous poker family. It all started in 1989 when he was born in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. His entire family played cards. When he was old enough, Mizrachi took card dealer training classes with his mother, who he says is usually the winner of their home games. Mizrachi soon became a proficient dealer at private games and a South Miami casino. After he'd mastered that side of the table, Mizrachi turned from dealer to player. He began to mentor his younger brother at the game. Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi is now a World Poker Tour champion. Even though Robert Mizrachi is lesser known than his brother, Michael, he is still a very successful poker player. He made three World Series of Poker cashes in 2005 and earned two wins in $1,000 events at Tunica and the World Poker Classic in Vegas in 2006. He amassed more than $1.6 million in poker winnings in four years. He made his first WPT final table during Season 5 Mirage World Poker Open. In 2007, Mizrachi made the final table at another WPT event, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. He was 28 at the time and the oldest player at the table! Age and experience served him well. Mizrachi placed fourth in the PCA, winning more than $409,000. When he's not playing poker, Mizrachi works on his real estate investments. He also enjoys cooking and traveling the world.
