Stan Weiss - This 59 year old ticket broker from Nashville, TN, grew up in New York City. Weiss met his wife, Judy, in Nashville, when he was in the Army stationed at Fort Campbell in Tennessee. They have lived there now for 36 years, and have two children, Scott and Holly.

Weiss's career got started early, very early. He began his quest for poker wisdom in earnest after losing his collection of 55 comic books playing poker with a friend at the age of six. Weiss grew up playing competitive team sports such as baseball, football, and basketball, and that experience has provided him both with his love of competition, and his taste for elbow-to-elbow poker. As a result, he's never been an internet player, preferring to use his ability to read players.

When he's not at the table, he'll spend time on his hobbies such as betting the ponies, or working on his tan. After winning the $500 event at the Mirage Poker Showdown, for which he made a handsome $75,000-plus, Weiss qualified for the $10,000 Main Event on a $60 satellite, and went on to make the final table. With all of his three cars paid off, this seriously good amateur is currently putting some of his prize money into a little home improvement.
