There's no other way to say it -- Scotty Nguyen is a legend in the poker world. Fans flock to Nguyen, who is instantly recognizable from TV, with his trademark speaking style where he calls everyone (and everything) "baby."

Nguyen catapulted to fame when he won the 1998 WSOP Main Event. With a full house on the board on the last hand, Nguyen moved all in and said, "You call, gonna be all over, baby!" Kevin McBride called, playing the board, but Nguyen showed down a higher full house to win the title of World Champion.

Nguyen has one of the best tournament records in poker, with five WSOP bracelets, a record-tying eight WPT final tables, and one WPT title. In 2008, he won the WSOP $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, and is the only player in history to win that and the WSOP Main Event. Nguyen also won what is perhaps the second most prestigious H.O.R.S.E event, a $10,000 buy-in event held at the L.A. Poker Classic last February against a strong field.

With more than $10.7 million in career earnings, Nguyen is sixth on the all-time money list, and he's already guaranteed to pass Joe Hachem regardless of his finish here. If he finishes fifth or higher at this final table, he'll also pass Phil Hellmuth to claim fourth place on the all-time money list. If Nguyen picks up his second WPT title on Saturday, he'll have more than $12.1 million in earnings, and be nipping at the heels of Jamie Gold ($12.2 million), Phil Ivey (12.2 million) and Daniel Negreanu ($12.4 million).

Scotty Nguyen can be a polarizing figure, as people tend to either love him or hate him. Nguyen has been called disrespectful by other players at the tables, and his drunken behavior at the 2008 WSOP H.O.R.S.E. final table angered a lot of people. But fans flock to him, and he lights up as he jokes around and engages people on the rail. Whether you love him or hate him, Scotty Nguyen is one of the most compelling poker players in the world.
