Tino Lechich is a native Australian and a world-class backgammon player. He's proven to be a winner at any game he's taken up. Lechich says he learned to play Texas Hold 'em at a fellow Aussie Mel Judah's kitchen table in Melbourne. Lechich has since developed into a fearless player with an uncanny ability to read his opponents. Lechich has gone deep in many tournaments in Australia. He has made the money in two World Poker Tour events. In Season Two, he made the final table of the Five Diamond World Poker Classic. His buddy, Mel Judah was also at that table, as were Gus Hansen, Dewey Tomko, and eventual-winner Paul Phillips. Lechich made nearly $131,000 for his fifth place finish. He may be better known for his backgammon skills, but Lechich continues to prove he is a threat at the poker tables as well.
