Tom Everett Scott is a professional actor who has, at the age of 34, already worked for director Tom Hanks ("That Thing You Do"), and shared screen time with legends Meryl Streep ("One True Thing"), and Jack Lemmon ("Inherit the Wind"). The 3rd of 4 children, Tom grew up in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, before enrolling at Syracuse University as a Communications major. But a fateful visit to the school's Drama department infected him with the performing bug, and the die was cast. After graduating, he waited tables and did small theater in New York City, until his big break, when Tom Hanks took a chance on the younger look-alike at the urging of his wife, Rita Wilson. Look out for Scott on the poker table too. He beat out 238 other players, celebs and pros alike, to make the WPT Invitational final table.
