Tony Le might never have learned how to play poker if he didn't go to work. After leaving Vietnam in 1980 for the United States, Le ended up in Reno, Nevada. He dealt table games for a while before becoming a games supervisor. All day long, Le made sure the chip racks were full, the players had their markers, and all the customers were happy. As it happened, a poker room ran right beside Le's casino pit. One day he wandered in to see what poker was all about. The next thing he knew, he was winning a small tournament. Although Le liked to play Chinese poker and bet sports and horses from time to time, he never considered himself a professional gambler. He was happy with his position as a casino games supervisor and continued his work. Still, over the past several years, Le has managed to fund a very good side income as a poker player. He doesn't travel the globe playing poker, but he's managed to impress people just about everywhere he goes. Since the year 2000, Le has racked up 45 tournament cashes, five first place finishes, and more than $300,000 in winnings. To date, his biggest cash has been a third place finish at a World Series Circuit event. In Season 1 of the WPT, Le made the final table of the World Poker Challenge at his home casino in Reno. He took third place and won more than $50,000.
