William Mietz is a 50-year-old semi-retired printer who has been playing poker recreationally for 35 years. While this is just his second WPT event, he has cashed in the WSOP each of the past three years.
We don't know much about Mietz, but he has often been among the chipleaders the past three days of this tournament. He doesn't play a lot of pots, but he seems to be on the right side of the cards in the big pots, and he has carried that momentum all the way to the final table.
