ClubWPT.com (WPT’s VIP subscription-based membership website*) is offering VIP members the chance to win seats to WPT Venice Grand Prix and WPT LA Poker Classic over the next two weekends. You’ve seen the stories of ClubWPT.com qualifiers reaching the final table of WPT Main Events (like Artie Rodriguez at WPT Jacksonville for example) and winning tens of thousands of dollars playing against the best poker players in the world. Well, now it’s time to join their ranks and start 2012 off with a bang.

The WPT Venice Grand Prix qualifier starts on Sunday, January 8, at 4:00pm ET. and one week later, on Sunday, January 15, at 4:00pm ET, members can play for an $11,000 package to one of WPT’s most popular events, WPT LA Poker Classic.

WPT Venice Grand Prix is scheduled to take place February 6–10, 2012, at the historic Casino Di Venezia and will feature a €4,950 buy-in WPT Main Event. Last year’s record-setting tournament drew 523 entrants, which at the time was the biggest field for a European WPT Main Event and also featured the longest heads-up match in WPT history. Eventual champion Allesio Isaia became the first Italian to have their name engraved on the WPT Champions Cup, pocketing $517,704 and going on to finish fourth in the Season IX Player of the Year standings.

WPT LA Poker Classic will be held at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, California from Feb 24 – 29, 2012. The $10,000 buy-in event draws the biggest names in poker as was evidenced last year when 681 players generated an impressive $6,537,600 prizepool with eventual WPT Champion Gregory Brooks taking home $1,654,120 for his efforts.
