Before the World Poker Tour, high-stakes tournament poker was restricted to smoke-filled casino back rooms.  The WPT introduced the WPT Hole Cam, giving TV audiences an insider's view of which cards each player has.  Combined with brilliant hosting and cutting-edge production values, this helped catapult poker from an old man's game into the global sports phenomenon it is today.

Comprised of a series of high-stakes poker tournaments held at the finest casinos around the world, the WPT features stops ranging from the Bellagio in Vegas to the islands of Turks and Caicos. 

The WPT created 87 Poker-Made Millionaires™ -- players who won a million dollars or more at WPT Tournaments.  In 2005, the WPT hit a $100 million milestone in money awarded in tournaments to participants that ranged from seasoned pros to college students.

The World Poker Tour airs every Monday night at 9 p.m. ET/PT on GSN, and is viewed in more than 100 countries worldwide.
