After 10 levels of play, it’s down to the official final table of eight in the WPT Alpha8 Las Vegas and Fedor Holz is leading the way with over 40% of the chips in play, bagging 4,865,000 at the end of the night. He scored

There is a big drop after Holz in the chip counts, but Nick Petrangelo, Keith Tilston  and Daniel Negreanu round out the top half of the chip counts with 1,750,000, 1,630,000 and 1,475,000, respectively. Sean Winter, Kathy Lehne, Ankush Mandavia and David Peters round out the bottom half of the chip counts with 1,355,000, 1,255,000, 765,000 and 555,000, respectively.

The day began with a field of 31 from the original 38 players who put up the $100,000 on Day 1 of the event, but there was still two levels of late registration. By the time late registration had closed, the field had grown to 45 players, generating a prizepool of $4,414,500, with the top seven players earning a payday. On Sunday, when the final eight players return, they will continue their play on the money bubble. The next player eliminated will go home empty-handed and the remaining seven players will earn at least $176,500.

While a min-cash is worth $176,500, everybody has their eyes on the first place prize of $1,509,219. Second place also takes home a seven-figure payday, taking home $1,015,000.

The final eight players come back at 2 p.m. on Sunday to play down to a winner. WPT.com will have hand-for-hand coverage of the final table.
