The action folds to Simon Deadman on the button, and he opens to 9,000. Paul Dando, who is opening the majority of hands during the bubble, three-bets to 30,000 from the big blind; Deadman calls.
Flop:
Dando bets 35,000 and Deadman calls.
Turn:
Dando bets 76,000 and Deadman calls.
River:
Dando looks like he is going to fire a third bullet. Players from the other tables surround this one. The noise level rises. Dando pushes a bet of 165,000 across the line. The motion sucks the noise out of the room for the briefest of moments. Deadman is in the tank.
A few minutes pass. Deadman talks to Dando; trying to get a read.
“You are trying to look so weak,” says Deadman.
Eventually, a player from another table calls the clock on Deadman.
“Really? I don’t think I have taken that much time considering the situation.” Says Deadman.
The Tournament Director gives him 30-seconds before a one-minute countdown will begin.
Deadman has 285,000 behind. He was positioned in the top 10 before this hand started.
The countdown begins.

Dando exhales a deep blow of air and drags in his chips.
He is the first player to hit the million mark.
