In one of the cruellest manners possible, the WPT Prague has burst to leave two men out of the tournament and one man stacking up a chip mountain.
Hlib Kovtunov moved all-in pre-flop for 99,500 and he was swiftly followed all-in by partypoker qualifier Maxime Swennen for 93,500. In the very next seat, Oleg Vasylchenko called, saying “You know what I have!”
Hlib Kovtunov:
Maxime Swennen:
Oleg Vasylchenko:
The flop of put Swennen in the lead, but the turn sent the chips heading Vasylchenko’s way, unless the river could pair the board….but it came to leave Swennen out for nothing thanks to having just two big blinds less chips than Kovtunov. So, so cruel on the partypoker qualifier, who said (among other things) “All this for this!”
Exasperated, the two men with losing hands left the table and Vasylchenko piled up a huge stack. Will he have the overnight chip lead? We’ll find out very soon.
