Redo For Craig Rubinstein

Feb 27, 2016

Craig Rubenstein

Throughout this Day 1B session, we’re sure to see a handful of players that failed to bag in yesterday’s Day 1A session trying again in this second starting flight. Unfortunately for Craig Rubinstein, he’s one of those players, after busting in a cooler spot late in last night’s final level.

Rubinstein was at the WPTDS Big Stax XV 1500 feature table for the final six levels of the night and while he peaked at nearly 150,000, he found himself short late in Level 15 and ran his pocket jacks into another player’s pocket queens. That cooler eliminated Rubinstein just a few orbits before the bags came out and after a quick turn around, the New Yorker is now back playing through the early levels of this Day 1B session.

That’s not surprising, as the primarily cash game player has notched two deep runs over the last two record breaking Big Stax XV events, finishing 61st in both the 300 and 500 main events. He’ll now try to record his first career WPTDS Main Event cash this weekend while building a stack and avoiding a late night cooler.
