Los Angeles, CA (June 27, 2017) – World Poker Tour® is proud to announce the debut of the new main title open for its televised broadcast. Titled Rise Above, the new open is the third installment of the WPT® Legacy Through Art™ Series. Featuring music co-written by WPT CEO Adam Pliska and composer Sharal Churchill, Rise Above depicts the emotional journey of a player on the quest to reach the pinnacle of poker and join the prestigious WPT Champions Club.
Rise Above was produced and edited by WPT Studios, in conjunction with Big Block Entertainment.
“At the World Poker Tour, we see ourselves as being the storytellers of the industry,” said Adam Pliska, CEO of the World Poker Tour. “In Rise Above, we tried to capture the many feelings and reflections of a player as he takes that long walk to the televised WPT final table that has witnessed some of the greatest moments in poker history.”

The World Poker Tour launched the WPT Legacy Through Art Series in July 2016, in an effort to capture a deeper aspect of poker history through the arts and pay respect to those whose emotions, passions, and personalities have added so much to the WPT story.
