Three Tournaments Featured with a £1 Million Guaranteed Prize Pool Each
World Poker Tour® heads to the United Kingdom on Oct. 22, 2016 for the partypoker WPT® UK Festival of Poker at Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham, England. The festival features three marquee events that each offer a £1 million guarantee, and, combined with the other events on the schedule, will see more than £3 million in total prize money awarded.
The partypoker WPT UK Festival kicks off with the £550 buy-in WPT500. This event boasts 12 starting flights, with five taking place at Dusk Till Dawn and the other seven taking place at various casinos throughout the UK. In addition, there will be five online tournaments run from Oct. 23-27 starting at 9 p.m. UK time each night.
In the WPT500 event, players are allowed only one entry per starting flight, but they can play as many starting flights as they wish with the option to bring the largest stack forward to Day 2.
Not only will WPT500 players be competing for their share of a £1 million guaranteed prize pool, but the top 50 finishers in the event will be awarded a seat into the partypoker WPT UK £2,200 Main Event for a chance at an even bigger payday.

The partypoker WPT UK £2,200 Main Event takes place starting on Nov. 2 for the first of two starting flights. This event will also feature a £1 million guarantee, and players will be allowed one re-entry per day.
Last season’s partypoker WPT UK Main Event attracted a field of 450 entries, and it was Iaron Lightbourne defeating Craig McCorkell to win the WPT title and £200,000 in first-place prize money.
In between the WPT500 and WPT UK Main Event is the Devilfish Cup. WPT Foundation™ and Dusk Till Dawn teamed up for this event to take place starting on Oct. 31, and it boasts a £1 million guarantee with a £5,000 buy-in and £300 donation. The event was put forth to celebrate the life and achievements of Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott, and all donations, plus 3% of the prize pool, will be collected and split between Marie Curie, a philanthropic organization which has offered support to terminally ill patients since 1948, and a trust fund for Ulliott’s daughter, Lucy, which she will receive on her 16th birthday.
Dusk Till Dawn will further honor Ulliott by offering the winner an additional prize in the form of an amazing electric guitar.
As an annual reunion of the poker community, a special player party will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, featuring a rock band performing some of Ulliott’s favorite tunes.
