Dutchman Paul Gresel scored first place in the bin.be World Poker Tour® National Brussels €750 Main Event, beating out a field of 315 entries to earn the €45,000 top prize. Gresel was the only Dutch player to reach the final table and will take the title back home to the Netherlands.

WPT National Brussels Final Table Results

1st: Paul Gresel – €45,000
2nd: Vasile Sabau – €32,000
3rd: Mariusz Golinski – €20,600
4th: Daniel Rozenberg – €15,240
5th: Sonay Kehya – €11,500
6th: Anthony Chimkovitch – €9,200

On the final hand of the tournament, Vasile Sabau flopped a straight against Gresel’s two pair. When the money went in on the river after the board had paired, Gresel was sitting with a full house and the winner hand. With that, he can now call himself a WPT National champion.

Gresel, a regular at WPT events in the region, now boasts career live tournament earnings of over $160,000. Earlier this year, in May, Gresel won the WPT Amsterdam €1,500 Big Stack event to the tune of €69,020.

Next up on the WPT National schedule is PMU.fr WPT National Deauville with its €1,200 Main Event taking place Dec. 8-11, 2016.
