After a mammoth day of poker saw 244 players reduced to just 38 hopefuls, the partypoker WPT National UK Main Event at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham was buzzing with the kind of atmosphere only a huge tournament can provide.

After ten scorching levels, Terry Jordon (1,950,000) had the biggest stack in the bags, with 1.95 million chips to his name with just 38 players remaining in the hunt for the $200,000 top prize and title of WPT National UK Event winner.

Of the final 38 players, 11 are partypoker qualifiers, including Dan O’Callaghan (1,572,000) and Chin Koh (1,356,000).

Jordon did not have it all his own way on Day 2, and actually had to grind a shorter-than-average stack for much of the day. But his ability to do so was rewarded in a crazy last two hours of poker that saw him hit quads not once but twice and win a late 1.6m pot when his pocket aces crushed his well-stacked opponent Danny Tang, who had pocket queens.

Jordon will have esteemed competition for the WPT trophy on Monday, with plenty of players over a million  chips breathing down his neck for the afternoon’s race to the final table and consequently, what promises to be a spectacular evening’s pursuit of the title itself.  Mark Brockwell (1,575,000), Miikka Toikka (1,214,000), Sylvia Hewitt (1,201,000) and Matt Davenport (1,041,000) who reached the final table in Vienna and last three tables in Amsterdam will all be on the hunt for any chance of chips.

Play restarts at 1.00pm local time (GMT), when we can’t wait to bring you the final stages of what could be an incredible day of live poker.

A day for crowning a champion awaits, so here is the full seat draw and overnight chip counts:
