The Season XVI WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic festival continues to go strong at Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, and coming up on December 5, 2017, is the start of the series’ headlining $10,400 Main Event.

Last week, we told you about the winners from the first batch a preliminary events, and then we told you about Dan Smith defeating Daniel Negreanu in the $100,000 Super High Roller. Now, we’re here to tell you about two more winners who grabbed titles from the Season XVI WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic tournament series.

WPT Champion Jared Jaffee Wins 6-Max Event

Jared Jaffee (pictured above), a WPT Champions Club member, scored first place in Event 7: $1,620 6-Max No-Limit Hold’em. The event attracted 187 entries and generated a prize pool of $272,085. Jaffee’s winning share was worth $84,348.

The top 18 places were set to make the money, and 10 players advanced to the second day of play with Jaffee’s fellow WPT champion atop the leaderboard. Also in the mix in the final 10 was Season XV WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic $10,400 Main Event runner-up Ryan Tosoc.

In the end, Jaffee defeated Spain’s Lander Lijo in heads-up play. Lijo took home $48,975 for his efforts. Tosoc ended up busting in fifth place for $17,005, and Moorman took sixth for $12,924.

Rainer Kempe Wins Second $25,000 High Roller

The second Bellagio $25,000 High Roller of the Season XVI WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic drew 39 entries and created a prize pool of $975,000. The top six spots received a payout from the event, with Rainer Kempe (pictured above) taking the top spot and the $351,000 first-place prize.

Kempe defeated Ben Tollerene in heads-up play, with Tollerene earning $234,000.

Others finishing in the money were Adrian Mateos (3rd – $156,000), Justin Bonomo (4th – $97,500), Brian Green (5th – $78,000), and Dan Smith (6th – $58,500). Smith was coming off off a victory in the $100,000 Super High Roller for $1.404 million.
