WPT Five Diamond at Bellagio

Closing out the 2017 slate of Season XVI events on the WPT Main Tour is the illustrious WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic. The full series of events takes place November 24 through December 10, 2017, at Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The schedule consists of events ranging in buy-ins from $560 up to $25,000, and the $10,400 Main Event takes place December 5-10.

The Season XV WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event attracted a record field of 791 entries and awarded not one, but two million-dollar prizes. James Romero, the event’s champion, won a life-changing sum of more than $1.9 million. Ryan Tosoc earned more than $1.1 million for second place. The tournament has a long and storied history with the World Poker Tour. It was the very first event the WPT ever held, way back in mid-2002, and it has been a staple of the World Poker Tour every season since.

Not only did the Season XV WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event attract the largest turnout in the event’s history, but it tied the record for most entries in a $10,000 buy-in WPT event.

As the event is held at Bellagio in Las Vegas, it is attended by the game’s biggest players, including Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, and more. The event also holds a special place in the heart of three-time NFL Super Bowl champion Richard Seymour, who earned his highest WPT finish when he placed 18th in the event last season, winning $52,174.

The WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event, running December 5-10 with a buy-in of $10,400, is a poker tournament you do not want to miss!
