The WPTDeepStacks Reno Main Event came to a close late Sunday night at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada, and Dustin Fox emerged from a record-breaking field of 330 players to become the champion. He takes home the top prize worth $70,054, the WPTDeepStacks trophy, and a $3,000 WPTDeepStacks Championship package.

There were 53 players that returned for the final day of this event at noon PT, and only the top 36 made the money. Allen Kessler, Dana Muse, Andrew Bedecker, and Nicholas Pupillo were among the early bustouts that missed the money. Notables that did cash included WPTDS LA Season 2 champion James Gorham (17th place) and Nicholas Revello (11th place).

The final table was set around 6:30 p.m. and the final nine players took a dinner break before returning for the final skirmish. Dean Reno (ninth place), Ravi Shanmugam (eighth place), WPTDS LA Season 1 champion Steve Foutty (seventh place), and Angela Jordison (sixth place) all busted during the first hour of play.

Scott Sherwood scored a series of double ups before busting out in fifth place. Ivan Holmes and Dustin Fox then doubled up through Cary Marshall, and that led to his exit in fourth place. The battle for third place lasted an hour before Brandon Jones took his leave, and that set up a heads-up final between Holmes and Fox. It took just two hands to decide a winner of the final match, and Fox won the tournament with jacks-up topping the nines-up held by Holmes.

Final Table Results

1st: Dustin Fox – $70,054
2nd: Ivan Holmes – $49,151
3rd: Brandon Jones – $31,615
4th: Cary Marshall – $23,402
