Season 4 WPTDeepStacks Thunder Valley Final Table Results

1st: Mimi Luu – $82,900 plus $3,000 Championship Package
2nd: James Maxey – $58,125
3rd: Wilson Tolon – $37,400
4th: Niv Decalo – $25,150
5th: Kenny Lee – $19,330
6th: Dann Turner – $16,040
7th: TJ Eisenmann – $13,640
8th: Mario Sequeira – $10,860
9th: Prasad Inamdar – $8,300

Dann Turner entered the final table with the chip lead, and first to go was Prasad Inamdar in ninth place. Mario Sequeira followed him to the payout desk in eighth place, and then TJ Eisenmann busted in seventh. Niv Decalo then doubled through Turner, leaving Turner short, and the start-of-day chip leader was eliminated shortly thereafter.

On Turner’s final hand, he called a raise to 250,000 from Wilson Tolon out of the big blind. Tolon had opened from under the gun with the blinds at 60,000/120,000 with a 20,000 ante. Both players checked the Club ADiamond AClub J flop to see the Club 10 land on the turn. Turner moved all in for a little under 1 million in chips, and Tolon made the call with the Spade AClub 4. Turner had the Club KSpade 5 and was eliminated when the Heart 8 hit on the river.

After Turner’s bust out, play really picked up. Decalo and Kenny Lee were taken out on the same hand by Tolon, but then Tolon was ousted in third place by Luu. That set up heads-up play between Luu and Maxey, with Luu holding the lead by nearly 3-1.

It didn’t take long for Luu to finish the job and claim the WPTDeepStacks Thunder Valley title.

On the final hand, Maxey moved all in preflop with the Club KClub 5 and Luu called with the Spade 9Club 9. The flop, turn, and river ran out Club QDiamond 10Spade 2Heart 4Club 8, and Luu was victorious.
