Los Angeles, CA (August 18, 2016) – The World Poker Tour® returns to the newly revamped Bicycle Hotel & Casino on Aug. 27, 2016, for the televised WPT® Legends of Poker.
The Season XV WPT Legends of Poker Main Event headlines a 29-event festival of poker at The Bicycle Hotel & Casino. The $4,000 buy-in Main Event features two starting flights, and competitors will be allowed a single re-entry per starting day. Players who qualify for Day 2 more than once will take the largest of the advancing stacks forward.
Players will also have the option to directly buy in on Day 2, but must do so before play begins at 12 p.m. local time on Monday, Aug. 29. Starting blinds on Day 2 will be 600/1,200 with an ante of 200, and each 30,000-chip starting stack will be worth 25 big blinds. There will be no late registration on Day 2.
In addition to the first-place prize money, the champion will be awarded a luxurious Hublot King Power Unico Carbon and Red watch, have his or her name engraved on the WPT Champions Cup, and win an entry into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.

Shariati, the Legends of Poker defending champion, bested a field of 786 entries to earn the $675,942 top prize after he defeated Freddy Deeb in heads-up play. Other former champions include Mel Judah (Season II), Doyle Brunson (Season III), Dan Harrington (Season VI), and Prahlad Friedman (Season VIII).
Mega satellites for the WPT Legends of Poker $4,000 Main Event will take place Aug. 26-28, each with a buy-in of $430. There are seven WPT mega satellites scheduled.
