Los Angeles, CA (May 8, 2017) – World Poker Tour® today announced further Asia-Pacific expansion in partnership with Adda52.com, with the first-ever WPTDeepStacks™ India and the WPT® India Player of the Year award.
In partnership with Adda52.com, Gaussian Networks Pvt. Ltd.’s poker brand, WPTDeepStacks comes to India for the first time ever November 7-13, with a $1,000 Main Event held at Deltin Royale Casino in Goa, India. The WPTDeepStacks India Main Event will be the final qualifying event of 2017 for the brand new WPT India Player of the Year award.
In addition to the WPTDeepStacks India Main Event, participation in two Deltin Poker Tour Goa events will qualify players for the WPT India Player of the Year award. Those two events are the Deltin Poker Tour Goa $540 Main Event taking place July 20-24, and the Deltin Poker Tour Goa $540 Main Event taking place September 6-11. Both of these events are rake free. Similar to WPTDeepStacks India, these two events take place at Deltin Royale Casino.
In summary, the three events where players will be able to compete to become the WPT India Player of the Year are:
– Deltin Poker Tour Goa $540 Main Event – July 20-24, 2017
– Deltin Poker Tour Goa $540 Main Event – September 6-11, 2017
– WPTDeepStacks India $1,000 Main Event – November 7-13, 2017
More qualifying events for the WPT India Player of the Year award may be announced at a later date.
The top finisher in the WPT India Player of the Year race will earn a prize of a $5,000 buy-in credit for WPT events and designated Deltin events during Season XVII of the World Poker Tour. Scoring will be based on finishing position, buy-in amount, and number of entrants in the tournament.
