Five players continued their journey toward earning a spot on the WPT Champions Cup when WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown – Part 2 aired last night on FSN at 8pm and 11pm from Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. However, when the dust settled at the end of the episode, two of those players would be enjoying the Florida sunshine with the other three still battling it out for the $779,520 first-place payout.

Exiting in fifth was local hero Sharon Levin, who finished fourth at WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open at this same casino back in February. He earned $158,688 for his efforts this time around. Out in fourth was Craig Bergeron, who walked away with $212,976 for his impressive run through this loaded field.

That leaves some serious talent left at this final table, including Joe Serock, who is having such a sick run right now (he finished third at the last stop on tour, WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star) that  during last night’s episode WPT Raw Deal analyst Tony Dunst took a look at what makes him such an effective poker player. A quick profile of Serock is featured above and the Raw Deal segment is below. Joining Serock in that final three are Tommy Vedes, who finished sixth at this same event last season and has already improved on that finish, and John Dolan, who has several WSOP final tables under his belt.

As you can imagine, the action was plentiful as these players clashed over and over again, trading the chip lead back and forth. However, at the end of the episode, it was WPT final table newcomer Dolan who emerged from the fray out in front of Serock and Vedes. Here are the chip counts when play wrapped up:

1. John Dolan – 3,900,000
2. Joe Serock – 2,490,000
3. Tommy Vedes – 2,310,000

Make sure to tune in, or set your DVR for, next Sunday at 8pm and 11pm local time on FSN to see if Serock’s implacable demeanor can make him a WPT Champion,or will it be Tommy Vedes or John Dolan.
