Voting for the seventh annual BLUFF Reader’s Choice Awards is underway, and a few of our very own are on the ballots.
Poker’s consummate ambassador Mike Sexton, who along with Vince Van Patten is celebrating 10 seasons of commentating the WPT this year, has been nominated for “Favorite Male TV Personality.” He is up against WPT final table announcer Ali Nejad, nominated for his work on Epic Poker and Poker After Dark; two-time WTP winner Antonio Esdandiari, who impressed many with his World Series of Poker live coverage this past summer; and last year’s surprise winner in the category, Joe Stapleton, of the Big Game.
WPT host Kimberly Lansing got the nod in the “Favorite Female TV Personality” category, along with LeeAnn Tweeden (Poker After Dark), Kara Scott (WSOP Live Coverage) and Amanda Leatherman (The Big Game).
In the “Favorite Web-based Poker Show” category, it’s The Jess and BJ Show who are representing the WPT. They are up against TwoPlusTwo Pokercast, ESPN Inside Deal and The Micros.
Also nominated are several poker rooms/casinos that host WPT events including Bellagio (“Favorite Las Vegas Poker Room”); Commerce, Bay 101 and Bicycle Casino (“Favorite California Poker Room”); Jacksonville Poker Room and Seminole Hard Rock (“Favorite Florida Poker Room”); and Foxwoods and Borgata (“Favorite East Coast Poker Room”).
