Alex Foxen has done it! He’s won the LAPC Rockstar Energy High Roller for $424,625!
In addition to the lion’s share of the prize pool, Foxen earned a luxurious Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Titanium watch.
“It feels really good,” Foxen told reporters after the win. “I’ve had a few bubbles recently in 25Ks, so it feels good to have a breakthrough like this and end up winning it.”

Foxen topped a field of 50 entries. At the final table, he battled with the likes of Maria Ho, Sam Panzica, Eli Berg, and Isaac Baron before getting heads up with Nick Petrangelo. In the end, Foxen proved too tough for the others and walked away with the title in dominating fashion.
“A lot of work in the past on my game that I feel like has a cumulative effect over time,” Foxen said when asked about what he believes caused his recent string of results. “I feel like I found a good rhythm and a good balance of confidence, and I’m just trying to make the right decisions in as many spots as I can.”
Foxen’s victory in the LAPC Rockstar Energy High Roller came less than three months removed from his second-place finish in the Season XVI WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic. In that record event, Foxen scored $1.134 million in prize money, but the victory eluded him.
“It’s hard to imagine the heater that I’ve been on,” Foxen said. “It’s been pretty crazy. I don’t know that I could necessarily say that I expected it, but it is definitely what I always wanted to strive for. It feels really good.”
As if winning the LAPC Rockstar Energy High Roller isn’t enough, Foxen took third in the single-day $10,000 Turbo High Roller that wrapped up the day before this event began. There he took home $55,440 in prize money.
“That was a fun tournament,” Foxen said of the $10,000 Turbo High Roller that led into this tournament. “The field was great and the structure was quick, but it was fun. I was fortunate enough to get third, and it definitely felt good win money and be up coming into the 25K.”
On the final hand, Foxen moved all in on the 
board. Petrangelo made the call with the 
, but his hand was no good against the 
for Foxen. What that, Petrangelo was out in second place for $283,250 and Foxen was crowned champion.
Foxen and Petrangelo took care of all the eliminations at the LAPC Rockstar Energy High Roller final table. Foxen first busted Isaac Baron in sixth place and then knocked out Eli Berg in fifth. After he began the day with the big chip lead, Foxen only extended it.
Petrangelo made a move with four players left, though. He first doubled through two-time WPT champion Sam Panzica and then knocked him out in fourth place shortly thereafter. Not too long after that, Ho was eliminated at the hands of Foxen, whose pocket nines held up against the 
of Ho.
Heads-up play was a one-sided affair. Foxen began with a lead of 4.385 million to Petrangelo’s 590,000, and he quickly finished the job.
For Foxen, the victory earned him $424,625. That proved the second largest live tournament score of his career and pushed him to nearly $2.7 million in career live tournament earnings.
