The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, NJ holds a special place in the history of LearnWPT Live. It was here in September of 2017 that the first Freeroll Satellite to a $3,500 WPT Main Event was held as part of a Tournament Strategy Workshop.
During this special event featuring Nick Binger and Venessa Selbst as Instructors, attendees learned a complete game plan for tournament success in two action-packed days. At the end of the last session on Sunday afternoon, the 42 classmates hit the tournament floor right beside Day 1A of the WPT Borgata Poker Open Main Event!
After four hours of back and forth play with exciting hands and new strategies being tested, Christopher Merrill (pictured) emerged as the victor.
Chris wanted to play Day 1B of the WPT BPO Main Event the next day but unfortunately, family duty called in California, so he elected to take his shot at the Champions Cup at WPT Rolling Thunder at Thunder Valley Casino and Resort.
