Taylor von Kriegenbergh wins WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown
Taylor von Kriegenbergh won the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown and can now add fan favorite WPT Champion to his resume.

After a thorough, extensive and completely scientific poll conducted on the WPT Facebook Page, the winners of the fan poll for Favorite WPT Champion and WPT Main Event are ready to be announced:

Favorite WPT Champion of 2011:

Taylor von Kriegenbergh – In the wee hours of the morning on May 3, 2011, in his first-ever ever WPT Main Event and just two weeks before his birthday, this 23-year-old Hollywood, Florida, resident added his name to the WPT Champions Cup at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown. Beating out a field of 433 entrants and a tough final table, von Kriegenbergh took home $1,122,340 for the victory, placing him third on the list of the Top 5 WPT Cashes of 2011. Not only was this his first WPT event, it was also his first year of playing major poker tournaments and he finished the year with a solid $1,369,340 in earnings.

Favorite WPT Champion of 2011:

2011 WPT World Championship – No big surprise here. The WPT World Championship annually sports one of the most star-studded fields of any poker tournament in the world, and the WPT televised final table of this event is a who’s who of poker superstars. 2011 was no different. The $25,000 buy-in event drew 220 entrants, generating a massive $5,309,500 prizepool with $1,618,344 going to the eventual WPT Champion, Scott Seiver. Finishing is second place, Farzad Bonyadi received $1,061,900, which was enough to secure him fourth place on the aforementioned Top 5 Cash list, just two spots behind Seiver.
