After intense Final Table battle Mohsin Charania scored his first-ever World Poker Tour title by claiming victory at the bwin WPT Grand Prix de Paris.

Vasili Firsau eliminated everyone before going heads up against Mohsin Charania with a 7:1 chip lead. Firsau was a 92% favourite to win the title in an all-in and call. Mohsin hit runner-runner cards to double up and amazingly went on to overcome that deficit and win the title. Cheering on the dramatic final table action from the rail were WPT Champions Club member Marvin Rettenmaier and WPT Season XII Ones to Watch Athanasios Polychronopoulos

Charania, a respected pro and frequent player in WPT events, finished in fifth place at this tournament last year, and bettered that result by defeating Vasili Firasu in a hard-fought, heads up battle. Get the full final table recap by visiting our Live Updates page.

For his victory, Charania takes home $469,477 plus $15,400 WPT Championship seat and becomes the newest player to etch his name onto the prestigious WPT Champions Cup.
