Los Angeles, CA (August 21, 2014) — World Poker Tour® returns to Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa for a 12th consecutive season from September 14 – 19 for the televised WPT® Borgata Poker Open, and accompanying the $3 million guaranteed event is the inaugural Garden State Super Series (GSSS). This premier online poker festival on BorgataPoker.com and partypoker.com runs from September 7-21, and together with the Borgata Poker Open, there is a combined $7.6 million in prize pools up for grabs.

To help players on site participate in the online GSSS, Borgata will facilitate deposits and withdrawals to and from BorgataPoker.com and partypoker.com through the casino cage during the Borgata Poker Open. This convenient access to live and online poker funds on property will allow players from around the world to play in a first-class WPT Main Tour event and participate in what will be the largest online poker tournament series ever held in New Jersey, maximizing their value in Atlantic City.

In Season XII Anthony Zinno took down the WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship, outlasting a field of 1,189 entrants and defeating top pro Vanessa Selbst heads up to win $825,099. This season’s $3,500 buy-in WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship features two starting flights and kicks off on September 14.The final table will be live streamed onWPT.com starting at 4:30pm ET on Friday, September 19. In addition to the WPT Championship Event there are plenty of other exciting live tournaments during the Borgata Poker Open, including a $560 buy-in $2 million guarantee, a $1,650 buy-in heads-up tournament, the $25,000 guarantee Borgata Ladies Championship, the inaugural Mike Sica Memorial Seniors Event, and many more. Running September 7-21, the inaugural Garden State Super Series consists of 20 events at three different buy-in levels across a range of tournament formats with a total of $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools.
