Chidwick’s Dreams Come True: AA v KK v KK

Oct 6, 2014

Stephen Chidwick has just tripled up through Philipp Gruissem and Vladimir Troyanovskiy in a hand that must have floated around his head in his dreams last night.

We didn’t see the action, but Isaac Haxton told us that Vladimir Troyanovskiy opened from under the gun, Philipp Gruissem three-bet from the small blind, Chidwick four-bet from the big blind, Troyanovskiy five-bet, Gruissem moved all-in, Chidwick moved all-in and Troyanovskiy went into the tank.

After several minutes pass, the Russian makes the call and we have a huge showdown.

Showdown

Chidwick: [Ad] [Ah]
Troyanovskiy: [Kc] [Kh]
Gruissem: [Ks] [Kd]

Board: [Jc] [7h] [4s] [8d] [3d]

Chidwick triples up to around 275,000; Troyanovskiy is down to 70,000; and Gruissem is left with just 14,500.
