The World Poker Tour will return to Choctaw Casino and Resort in Durant, Oklahoma for the third stop of Season 21. Choctaw has become a staple main tour stop on the WPT since the debut event in 2015. The first edition of WPT Choctaw set the tone for what was to come, boasting a massive prize pool of nearly $4 million thanks to an outstanding turnout, with a total combined field of 1,175 entrants.

The first WPT Choctaw final table featured some heavy hitters. Darren Elias, Jake Schindler, Alex Lynskey and Andy Hwang all made it to the final six, battling for the first place prize of $682,975. But Jason Brin outlasted them all and claimed his spot among the WPT Champions Club. Several other high profile players such as Bryn Kenney, Jared Jaffee, Erik Seidel, Scotty Nguyen and even WPT’s very own Vince Van Patten also made deep runs in that inaugural event.

On April 19, WPT will return to Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma for the eighth edition of this event. The festival features a multitude of exciting tournaments over the course of the 19 day event, culminating in the 2023 WPT Choctaw Main Event starting on May 5, which carries a buy-in of $3,800.
